Meet Natasha
Hi!
Natasha Fernandes is completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and is pursuing registration as a Provisional Psychologist in Alberta. She provides counselling and assessment services under supervision, supporting children, adolescents, and families as they navigate emotional, behavioural, and academic challenges. Known for her warm, approachable presence, Natasha connects with young people in ways that feel genuine and safe. She strives to create a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves – whether that means talking things through, engaging creatively, or taking time to build trust at their own pace.
Her approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and informed by a strengths-based perspective that highlights each client’s resilience, abilities, and potential for growth. Natasha works collaboratively with clients to build insight, strengthen coping skills, and support meaningful, lasting change. She has a particular interest in supporting youth experiencing anxiety, emotional regulation challenges, and concerns related to self-esteem and identity. Natasha values working alongside families and believes that when young people feel understood and supported, they are better able to grow in confidence and navigate life’s challenges.
Outside of her clinical work, Natasha enjoys spending time outdoors and finds grounding in nature. She’s inspired by the ways people, much like the seasons, grow and adapt through life’s changes, often emerging stronger and more self-aware.
Natasha also loves spending time with her dog, Ryu, named after a video game character, and often wonders: Can you guess which game he’s from?
