Meet Kate
Hello
My name is Kate
My passion is supporting children, adolescents, and adults through psycho-educational assessments. I hold a Master of Education in School and Applied Child Psychology from the University of Calgary, and am currently pursuing a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at California Southern University. I have extensive experience working in private practice and educational settings, empowering individuals and families to better understand their unique strengths and needs through comprehensive, personalized evaluations. I take a holistic and strength-based approach, addressing learning, developmental, and social-emotional needs with care and precision.
Outside of her professional role, Kate enjoys staying active with hiking, Pilates, and gym workouts. She loves traveling to new destinations with her husband and going on long walks with her dog, Ollie.
Kate has a special interest in neurodivergent-affirming care and how the neurodivergent brain impacts learning and processing. She has particular expertise in the nuances of ADHD, especially in the context of assessment practices. As an advocate for adaptive technologies, Kate is passionate about leveraging tools that best meet the needs of clients within learning environments, fostering their success and independence.
Known for her warm and empathetic demeanour, she creates a safe and supportive environment that puts clients and their families at ease from the very first meeting. She is deeply committed to helping clients achieve their potential by providing actionable insights and tailored recommendations.
Having Kate conduct your child’s assessment offers unique benefits for families. Kate combines the latest academic knowledge from her recent graduate studies with hands-on, supervised experience. Families benefit from her fresh perspective, attention to detail, and dedication.
