ADHD Assessments For Children & Adults
in Calgary

What Is An ADHD Assessment?

An ADHD assessment helps people understand their executive functioning and where it’s falling compared to same-age peers. Executive functioning can be thought of as the CEO of our brains. This area of the brain is one of the last to finish developing. Researchers have indicated that this typically occurs in individuals around the age of 25.  That is why we sometimes make sketchy choices in our teenage years and early adulthood!

ADHD symptoms might be described as being scattered, forgetful, and impulsive. You might struggle to start a task or to follow through and complete assignments, projects, or tasks. Things might feel big and overwhelming as completing a multistep project can be really tough for people with ADHD.

If you or your child is experiencing these concerns, having an ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) Assessment may be helpful to you. ADHD impacts people of all ages and can significantly impact how you function in life. This may include work performance, academic grades, home relationships, friendships, and overall interpersonal interactions.

At Calgary Psychological Services, we offer thorough ADHD assessments for both children and adults. Whether you’re understanding of your child’s executive functions or trying to understand your own patterns, our evidence-based process provides answers, direction, and support.
